Kari Leigh Woods (nee Dyck) is a native Kansan, who grew up mostly in Lawrence and attended University of Kansas (Rock Chalk, Jayhawk!) where she earned Bachelor and Masters degrees from the School of Business. Her early career took her to Pennsylvania, Virginia and Texas. But in the words of a fictional Kansan, “There’s no place like home.” After returning to Kansas, she married Bob, gave birth to Andy, and joined Grace Evangelical Presbyterian Church—three defining moments in her life. Kari currently works as Associate Director of a national educational research center. She entered into writing fiction with a kernel of truth from her family history and a lot of curiosity about how it might have happened. Like her ancestors, Kari is a woman who has been forgiven much and loves Jesus much (Luke 7:47).
